Occupying a site that was once a great maternity hospital, stylish Edinburgh City Hotel, is situated in the city centre of historic Edinburgh, but pleasantly quietly, amidst the hustle and bustle of this great capital city of Scotland. The property was built in 1879 as a maternity hospital, one of the first hospitals in Britain. Meals can be enjoyed in the bright contemporary restaurant and guests can relax in the cosy but stylish Snug Bar and reception lounge. Staff are very friendly, professional and obliging. Close to all key business districts, the Convention Centre, Princes St, the Castle, rail and bus stations and all major attractions. Combining old and new in a superb Victorian building fully refurbished during 1998 and subsequently, to a very high standard providing a very comfortable, and rather different modern, informal and personal Edinburgh hotel.
