The AA has graded Beaumont House as 5-star guest accommodation with a highly commended award, placing it in the top 10% of 5-star establishments in England. Condé Nast Johansens has included Beaumont House in their recommended small hotels guide for 2009.

An ideal base for both the business traveller visiting Cheltenham and Gloucester and for the leisure traveller exploring the Cotswolds. In addition, Bath, Oxford, Worcester and Stratford-upon-Avon are all easy day trips.

Beaumont House was built in the 1850s Regency period as a private house/villa. It was converted to a hotel in the 1980s. It is set in beautiful gardens, where drinks may be enjoyed on summer evenings. Our comfortable lounge is the perfect place to relax with a good novel, enjoy either a complimentary cappuccino, or a drink from our Trust Bar (sorry, not complimentary!), before going out for dinner.

There are excellent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

Important Information

Payment Information:
Beaumont House charges 3% for payments made using American Express or Diners club cards. This additional cost applies from 01 December 2008 for bookings made after 03 November 2008.

Group Bookings:
For bookings of 4 rooms or more, Beaumont House will charge your credit card with a 25% non-refundable deposit. This will be done either at the time of booking or 6 weeks before arrival, as appropriate.

Different Cancellation Policies:
For bookings during local racecourse events, a non-refundable deposit equal to 100% of the total amount of the stay will be charged by the hotel to your credit card.

Minimum Stay:
On certain days (Saturdays) and at certain times (festivals and events), a minimum-stay policy applies. For example, if you book 2 nights on Friday and Saturday and later wish to cancel the Friday night, this will not be possible.

Additional Child Policy Information:
Children over the age of 10 are welcome during the week. Children of any age are welcome at weekends. Cots and high chairs are not always available.

Room information

Newly opened in February 2007 is the Prestbury Suite. This consists of the Luxury Single and the Luxury Superking / Twin En Suite, with whirlpool and bathroom TV.

The suite has a private lobby giving access to the 2 rooms that make up the suite. To book the Prestbury Suite online, please select both these room choices for the dates that you require. As both rooms can be booked individually, one or both may not be available for your selected dates.

When accommodating 3 guests, it is better to leave the main bed as a large double to maximise floor space. The room is situated at the front of the hotel with views of the Cheltenham skyline. Restaurants and Bars

A full English breakfast is served between 07:30 and 09:15 on weekdays, or between 08:00 and 10.15 on Saturdays and Sundays.

On 25, 26 December and 01 January 2008, a substantial continental breakfast is served.

An evening meal room service is available from Monday to Thursday, served between 17:30 and 20:00.

Directions

Hotel Map

The hotel is situated on the a46 Shurdington Road, which is the extension of Bath Road. From Oxford on the a40, look for the sign of the a46 Stroud & Shurdington. At the roundabout in Bath Road, take the right hand road at the Norwood Arms Pub. The hotel is 200 yards on the left after the pub, before the traffic lights. From the m5, take exit 11 and follow signs to Cheltenham. At the first roundabout (Golden Valley) exit roundabout at 2 o'clock towards Shurdington. Go over several little roundabouts, always following the signs to Shurdington. Ignore all signs for Cheltenham. Eventually on a straight road, you will go past Morrisons supermarket on your left. On the next T- junction/roundabout follow the sign to Cheltenham. After one mile, and passing through pedestrian lights, you will reach traffic lights at a crossroad junction, go straight over and the hotel is the fourth property on your right.
