THE GUESTHOUSE The Newburgh is a non smoking family run guesthouse, which is clean, tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished, offering you a friendly and warm welcome at all times. We have five double en-suite rooms, and one triple en-suite room at the Newburgh, all have recently been redecorated. For your cleanliness and comfort, the Newburgh is a non smoking guesthouse. As the Newburgh is a family run guesthouse we cater for couples, families, and business travellers, and therefore do not accept bookings from stag or hen parties, or from same sex groups of more than two. For your special occasion, anniversary/Valentines a welcoming bouquet of flowers can be arranged, please ask when booking for details. Come and see why so many of our guests return again and again ! LOCATION Located in a quiet road directly off of the Belgrave Road, at the seafront end, you will find the Newburgh nestled in amongst a short terrace of early Victorian properties (built in 1861). Approximately 280 metres from the beach via a reasonably level walk, approximately 90 metres from the Riviera centre and a few minutes more to the town and Torquay's fabulous harbour. Dartmoor and the beautiful South Devon coastline are there to be discovered, a few minutes drive away. From the guesthouse you will enjoy one of the most advantageous positions in Torquay, on the level, very convenient and yet set away from the hubbub created by one of the most successful resorts in Europe. In fact the ideal guesthouse in which to unwind whether it be for a full fortnight, week, long weekend or short midweek break. Remember that Torquay is often better seen out of main season and has lots to offer !!! The Newburgh is close to the train and coach station, and arrangements can be made to collect you if you wish, please call to discuss your requirements.
