Set in 2 acres of our own grounds, the hotel has a remarkably secluded feel, and yet, is only 10 minutes walk away from Kendal train station and the bustling town centre. A Georgian, grade II listed building, built in 1812 for a prominent local doctor the hotel has retained many original Regency period features. The most striking of these features is the grand, black marble fireplace, situated in the residents lounge. The real fire gives a warming glow to the whole room and adds to the atmosphere for residents and non-resident diners alike. If its a one-night stay, a short break or simply a Sunday lunch, then the Place to be in Kendal, is the Garden House Hotel, the towns best-kept secret. NOTE:FREE WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS
