The hotel was built as a residence in the Victorian era and became one of the town's leading hotels in the 1920s. Set on the edge of the verdant common, it is still only a short stroll from the shops, restaurants, cafes and theatres. Wi-Fi is available free of charge in our suites (5 of which are located in the annexe next door). Because of the historical nature of the building, we regret that neither the main building or the annexe has a lift.
