Welcome, we offer a new breed of B&B accommodation with high standards of design, decoration and comfort, with a breakfast to remember. Hotel excellence with the personal touch of home. Plus evening meals and enjoy panoramic views.
We are also licensed and serve pre-ordered evening meals which makes us ideal for romantic short breaks and for the discerning independent traveller who wants to relax on a family holiday. We have 6 rooms including doubles, family and suite options. We offer a fusion of contemporary style in a Victorian detached residence. We are in a quiet, quality tree lined area, the West End of Ilfracombe. It is easy to take the boat trip to Lundy or walk the stunning coast path. Pets are welcome. Half board with A'la carte dining or bed and breakfast available. Norbury House is on the edge of Ilfracombe near open countryside yet only a ten minute stroll from the seafront, harbour, shops and amenities of Ilfracombe, and five minutes from the stunning North Devon coast path. We are at the top of a hill, and we are approached by a steep drive to our small car park with echelon parking. We are an ideal base for your fabulous North Devon holiday. We are a non-smoking establishment. All our rooms have views, whether it is of our garden, or across Ilfracombe to the sea or countryside beyond. All are en-suite with showers, heated towel rails and shaver point. The rooms have central heating, remote controlled colour television, clock CD/radio, hair dryer and generous courtesy tray. Devon Life and other quality magazines are provided in the rooms. Luxury bathrobes and slippers are also available. The house has a contemporary light interior featuring collections of glass, ceramics and art. Your hearty breakfast is served in the dining room, an elegant room with views to the countryside. We are an Associate Member of Taste of the West, featuring and supporting local produce. By evening the dining room is turned into a more intimate venue. Please advice us at the time of booking if you would like to make a reservation in our dining room for an evening meal. We take your order on arrival or at breakfast for that evening. We also serve a selection of local beers, spirits and wines from around the world. In the lounge you will find a range of English made handbags for sale. In the hall entrance you will find our library of books many on gardening and the arts. Plus for children of all ages you will also find a selection of games and toys in the lounge. And our Art House conservatory is an ideal setting for a coffee. You are also invited to visit our terraced gardens and find a secluded garden seat where you can enjoy the peace and tranquility with a drink or good book. We open our gardens at certain times of the year for charity. As a small select property, rooms do book up quickly, so you are advised to contact us as early as you can to ensure we have the room available you require. We look forward to meeting.
