Situated on Skeldergate, the ancient Roman waterfront which now leads from the city walls across the river to the centre of York, the convenient location, combined with the hotels scenic setting is ideal for exploring York and the surrounding area. The railway station and all major attractions are within easy walking distance. The University and other business areas are also easily accessible from the hotel. Guest accommodation is located within five of the buildings, located around a courtyard setting, with tranquil seating areas around the garden ponds and in the English gardens.
