This gracious two-storey mansion house was built in 1654 by the Earl of Wemyss and given to Colonel Maitland and his family shortly after being built. The house was converted into a hotel some 200 years later and today retains all the charm of an old country house together with the quality and efficiency of a modern hotel that has been refurbished in September 2005. Enjoy Scottish cuisine, with a Portuguese twist that is supported by fine wines, a log fire. Endjoy the comfortable or the deluxe rooms available.
