The Burrell Collection (2.5 miles / 4 km) - over 8000 pieces of art reside in this award-winning building, nestled amid a woodland setting. Medieval tapestries, stained glass, furniture, armour, paintings and sculpture are all on show. Includes work by Rembrant, Bellini, Epstien and Rodin.

Hampden Park (3.5 miles / 5.5 km) - Scotland's national stadium is also the spiritual home of Scottish Football. Worth a visit even on non-match days, with stadium tours and a football museum both available to visitors.

Museum of Scottish Country Life (3.5 miles / 5.5 km) - spanning 170 acres, the site includes an exhibition building; an original Georgian farmhouse and working farm. Includes agricultural exhibits, children's toys, the oldest known grain threshing machine in the world and the biggest collection of combine harvesters in Europe.
Travel information
By car (from the South):
- Take the M6 north.
- Exit onto the M74 (north) for Glasgow.
- Continue onto the M8 for Glasgow.
- Exit onto the M77 signposted Kilmarnock / Prestwick Airport.
- You will travel across a large bridge (Kingston Bridge), where you will see signs for the M77.
- Continue along on the M77 and take junction 3, signposted East Kilbride.
- Follow the road to Spiersbridge roundabout and travel straight through until Eastwood Toll roundabout.
- Travel straight through again.
- The hotel is around 600 yards (550 metres) further on the left hand side.

By train (from Williamwood Railway Station, 300 metres):
- Exit the station onto Eastwoodmains Road and turn left.
- Proceed for approximately 300 metres and the hotel will be on your right, close to the turning for Broomley Lane.
