This family-run guest house is conveniently situated just 5 minutes walk from York city centre; overlooking Haxby Park it offers comfortable rooms that were fully refurbished in January 2011. Park View Guest House offers comfortable and convenient 3-star bed and breakfast accommodation in a convenient location, opposite York District Hospital and within walking distance of the historic city centre. This small and friendly guest house overlooks Haxby Park and its bowls field, making it a pleasant place to stay. The hotel serves Moet and a variety of champagne on request. Room information
All rooms have been fully refurbished and come with a mini plasma TV on a wall bracket. All rooms are en suite with power showers and standard facilites. A hairdryer and iron are available on request.
Area information
The B&B is close to the city centre and just a 5 minute walk will take you to the heart of York. In York you can visit many popular tourist attractions such as York Minster, the city walls, the Jorvik Viking centre and The Shambles. There are many bars, clubs and restaurants in the surrounding area. The B&B is just up the road from St Johns College and is opposite York District Hospital.
Travel information
By Car (from York train station):
- From the train station we are 12 minutes away; as you come out of the station take a left and carry on straight down until you approach a bend which you will see some traffic lights.
- Stay left towards the bend following it round until you come to the bridge.
- Go over the bridge to the bottom where you will come to a set of traffic lights.
- Turn left at the lights past the art gallery then you will approach more lights stay in the right hand lane and go straight up the road (Gillygate).
- Once you have reached the end of Gillygate you will go past St Johns College.
- Carry on straight down until you have approached the last set of traffic lights.
- Stay in the right hand lane going past the independent pub and 50 yards down turn right and you will have reached Park View Guest House.
Important information
During weekends a 2 night minimum stay applies. Smoking is not permitted in the B&B. All payments must be made on arrival. Your card will be charged by the B&B for any damages or breakages made.
