Area information
With our free on-site parking, you can easily leave your car here and explore the lovely city on foot. The train station is also close by, but if you are planning to go on foot to Farnley Tower, there is a slight hill to walk up.
Travel information
By Car
- Take the A690 Durham turn-off from the A1M. Go straight over 4 roundabouts.
- After the 4th roundabout, take the 3rd exit on your right-hand side.
- Look out for the yellow music shop, EBGB, this is the corner of The Avenue.
- We are located at the top of The Avenue, on the right-hand side.
Important information
Please note that the restaurant is closed from Sunday 13th May 2012 and will re-open on 29th May. During this time the hotel can offer light snacks or advise of good restaurants nearby.

If you would like dinner at the hotel, you must book a table before arrival.
The bar & restaurant are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
