| We are conveniently located whether you choose to explore the historic and charming City of Chester, Chester Zoo, Macarthur Glen Retail Park, the wonderful Albert Dock complex in Liverpool, conquer the Snowdonia National Park or enjoy an evening at the Theatre (there are three theatres within close proximity to our hotel). You may wish to visit the magnificent Lady Lever Art Gallery at Port Sunlight, or if on business, the Gateway Hotel is conveniently located near the Deeside Industrial Park. Chester City Centre is also 5 miles from the hotel. For the discerning racegoer Haydock, Bangor on Dee and Chester racecourses are all within easy travelling distance. There are many more tourist attractions within easy access, such as Llangollen, Anglesey, Moel Famau, Conway Castle, Llandudno, Betws-Y- Coed, Chester Zoo, Bodnant Gardens, Portmerion, Ffestiniog railway and Bodelwyddan Castle. | By Car From the M6 motorway: - Exit the M6 at junction 20, following signs to Chester and North Wales on the M56. - At the end of the M56 you will come to a roundabout. - Take the first exit, following signs for Queensferry. - At the next roundabout (Little Chef on your left), take the 2nd exit. - At the traffic lights, keep in the left lane, following signs for Queensferry, then take the first exit off the carriageway, signposted Chester A548. - At the roundabout at the top of the slip road, take the first exit, following signs for Chester. You will pass RAF Sealand on your left. - At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit signposted Garden City. The Gateway To Wales Hotel will be in front of you. From North Wales: - Take the A55 dual carriageway in the direction of Chester. Follow the signs for Queensferry/A494. - Continue past the Queensferry exit (you will see an Asda superstore on your left). - Continue over the River Dee and take the next exit off the dual carriageway, signposted Chester A548. - Turn left at the roundabout, and The Gateway To Wales Hotel is on the left-hand side, immediately after the roundabout. |
