Situated in the south of Hertfordshire, Hatfield is 20 miles (32.2 km) north of London and close to many places of interest, including splendid Hatfield House, the Galleria shopping centre, Stanborough Park and the Maltings Arts Theatre. Hatfield also has excellent transport links for commuting to London and other nearby cities, such as Luton and Chelmsford.
Travel information
By Car (from the South/M25 motorway):
- Leave the M25 motorway at junction J23 (South Mimms), following the signs for the A1(M).
- Take the A1(M) northbound and exit at J3 (following the signs for Hatfield and The Galleria).
- Take second exit, following the signs for the A1001/The Galleria.
- Go straight over the large roundabout, through 2 sets of traffic lights, onto Comet
Way (The Galleria is on the right-hand side).
- Beales Hotel is on the left-hand side after the pelican crossing.

By Car (from the North):
- Leave the A1(M) southbound at junction 4 (following the signs for Hatfield and The Galleria).
- Take the third exit onto the A1001, following the signs for The Galleria
- At the first roundabout, take the third exit onto the dual carriageway.
- Go straight on over the pelican crossing and then through 2 sets of traffic lights.
- At the main roundabout, at the end of the dual carriageway, take the fourth exit (doubling back and heading back up the dual carriageway).
- Beales Hotel is a few hundred metres from the roundabout, on the left-hand side, after the pelican crossing.
