| Area information |
| Close to Cary Park and Babbacombe Downs, with panoramic coastal views across Lyme Bay, the house is near to: a children’s park; tennis courts; a bowls green; a putting green; a golf course; water-sports; and coastal walks. Take a trip on the Babbacombe Cliff Railway down to Oddicombe Beach, on one of the only few original working funicular railways. The Babbacombe Cliff Railway has been transporting visitors up and down the 240 foot cliff face since 1926. Just a short stroll from Babbacombe you will find the historic village of St. Marychurch. This pretty, Victorian-style pedestrianised precinct offers a wide choice of independently owned small shops and boutiques. No visit to the area would be complete without a few hours spent in Bygones, a fascinating Victorian Museum, and the nearby Babbacombe Model Village. A short drive will bring you to the prehistoric caves of Kents Cavern where you will travel through a million years and back before the day is out. |
